Our October 17th, dinner meeting speaker with be Jacques White, the LLTK’s Executive Director, will talk to us about their Salmon Recovery projects.
Prior to becoming LLTK’s Executive Director in March 2010, Jacques served as Director of Marine Conservation at the Nature Conservancy of Washington and Director of Science and Habitat Programs at People for Puget Sound. He has served as a member of the Ecosystem Coordination Board of the Governor’s Puget Sound Partnership and the Steering Committee for the US Army Corps of Engineer’s Puget Sound Nearshore Ecosystem Restoration Project.
He holds a Ph.D. in Marine, Estuarine, and Environmental Sciences from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Marine Science from Louisiana State University, and a B.S. in Oceanography and a B.A. in Zoology from the University of Washington.
A President’s Dinner Choice, for $25, will be served with a Bartender serving beer and wine drinks for a $5 donation.

The worldwide Covid pandemic continues, even if severity and duration of the illness may be reduced. Our Club has a large number of members and guests who are part of the vulnerable, high-risk population. If you are experiencing any symptoms that could be Covid, runny nose, sore throat, cough, any other symptom, please do not attend the meeting or event, even if you believe the symptoms are of a mere cold or allergy and even if you test negative. Please do use the Zoom link, when provided. If you have previously paid for the meeting or event, and decline to attend because of symptoms, the Club will gladly refund your money.
