Green Lake (Okanogan County) Outing – May 6-7, 2023

Chuck Ballard will be hosting a club outing at Green Lake in Okanogan County. There are several camp sites on the lake and a couple on the lower lake as well.  Chuck will try to hold as many as he can by arriving early however as these are not reservable hopefully we can get most of them tied up.   The camp sites don’t have fire pits so cooking would have to be on gas grills.  There is a public outhouse however no running water.   Motels are available in the town of Omak and the commute is not far from Okanogan.

The lake mostly requires a watercraft however one could make a few casts from the boat launch as well and maybe on the shore near the camp spots.   Flies that work are the usual carry special, woolly buggers, leeches and damsel fly nymphs.  The whole lake is good to fish so if you’re camping at the south end and have a float tube you don’t have to commute the full length.

The outing is Free for WFFC Members and $40 fee for non-WFFC Members which can be applied towards becoming a annual member dues of $80.

The worldwide Covid pandemic continues, even if severity and duration of the illness may be reduced.  Our Club has a large number of members and guests who are part of the vulnerable, high-risk population.  If you are experiencing any symptoms that could be Covid, runny nose, sore throat, cough, any other symptom, please do not attend the meeting or event, even if you believe the symptoms are of a mere cold or allergy and even if you test negative.  Please do use the Zoom link, when provided.  If you have previously paid for the meeting or event, and decline to attend because of symptoms, the Club will gladly refund your money.
