We will be holding the April 19th WFFC Dinner Meeting at the Mercer Island VFW Hall with Ryan Fortier speaking to us via zoom about the state’s trout planting plans for the Eastern Washington Lakes.

The meal costs of continuing to holding the Dinner Meetings at the Seattle Tennis Club have for multiple reasons, have increased way more that we could expect the membership to reasonably pay for a dinner.

The WFFC Board Vote to hold the dinner meetings at the VFW Hall on Mercer Island for sure April through November this year, but may hold the December Holiday Dinner at the Seattle Tennis Club if affordable.

At the April 19th a Pizza Dinner will be served with a Bartender serving beer and wine drinks.

The Member dinner is priced at $25 per meal to cover the WFW Hall costs, the purchased Pizza pies and meeting supplies. Per the WA Bartending License, Drinks can not be sold, so as a workaround we are requesting $5 cash donations for drinks to cover the Bartender and the Beer and Wine costs.

Parking: Options include use of 15 regular and one handicapped-designated parking space in front of the clubhouse; additional parking for events allowed on agreement with Roanoke Inn management, and; up to 40 additional public access parking spaces available at nearby Lid Park. “Reserved for Special Event Parking” signs will be placed in front of the clubhouse prior to an event to reserve parking spaces.

Holding the WFFC Dinner Meetings at the Mercer Island VFW Hall will be a good place for us to all meet once again with old members, meet new members and to enjoy the comradery of fly fishing together. Hope to see you all there at the April 19th Dinner Meeting
