The September 20th WFFC Dinner Meeting will be at the Mercer Island VFW Hall with Heather Neufeld speaking to us via zoom about Reading Trout Water.

Heather is the founder of United Women on the Fly. She is an expert at making anglers (especially women) feel comfortable and becoming a part of the fly-fishing community. Sometimes referred to as the “Middle Woman,” Heather volunteers her energy and time to connect women, help start a Women’s Program, or enable anglers to become more confident on the water. Heather currently holds the position of Western US Women’s/Diversity Ambassador for Trout Unlimited. Her passion for conservation and for getting women involved in fly fishing are infectious.

Before before graduating from the Washington State University Nursing program in 2006, she taught EMT-B and Wilderness Survival at Spokane Community College.  After 2006 she has been a medical, surgical, trauma and cardiac ICU nurse working in the Cardiac Cath Lab for the past 8 years. “Nursing saves lives and so does fly fishing!”

A President’s Dinner Choice, for $25, will be served with a Bartender serving beer and wine drinks for a $5 donation.
