Rescheduled -Quincy Lakes Wildlife Area Unit Outing – Now April 1-2, 2023
Mike Nolan will be hosting an outing at Quincy Lake which is located in WDFW’s Quincy Wildlife Area near Quincy. Meet me by my trailer with the displayed WFFC banner at 7:30am on Saturday the 1st. I will be camping at Quincy Lake and dispersed camping is available throughout the area. The Club will provide beverages as in the past, but please bring your own food and water for the stay.
For the adventurous persons, there are hike-in float tube lakes to be fished including Dusty Lake. Trout size is excellent with fish 12-20+ inches in length. Fly recommendations would include chironomids, woolly buggers, dragon and damsel fly nymphs. Fishing from the shore is available at both Quincy and Burke lakes but a floating craft is preferable.
Head out Highway 28 from Quincy and turn left into the Quincy Lakes Unit. Follow the road until you see the sign on the left for Quincy Lake by the boat launch. A Discover Pass is required for the area.
The outing is Free for WFFC Members and $40 fee for non-WFFC Members which can be applied towards becoming a annual member dues of $80.
Members, if you can take another member in your boat to fish at the Quincy Lakes outing, please acknowledge this in the “I will Assist With” sign-up, so that we can organize members to fish with you.
