August 21, 2018 Dinner Meeting – Fly Fishing Seminars and Used Equipment sale
August 21 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm| $35
On Tuesday, August 21st, we are going to be treated to four of the most outstanding speakers we’ve had for this annual event in several years. As usual the evening will consist of a delicious barbecue dinner before the speakers begin, and during that time attendees can peruse a variety of used fly fishing equipment that our members will bring to the event to sell, trade, or give-away. The festive mood will be accented by usual piano player. After dinner, and at approximately 7 pm, our four speakers will divide the room into four groups and begin simultaneous inter-active discussions on their topics. At 8pm, or so we will call a recess, and our members can then rotate to hear another of the speakers for an hour. One or two door prize raffles will also be conducted during the evening.
The featured speakers will be Joe Rotter, Head Guide at Reds Fly Shop in the Yakima Canyon, whose topic will be “How to fish the Yakima on Foot”, Matt Palch, Desert Angler in Ephrata Guide, who will discourse on “Bass, Tiger Musky on Evergreen Reservoir, and Northern Pike on Lake Roosevelt”, Chester Allan, one of the most dynamic speakers in the NW, who will talk about his new book and favorite big fish river “Yellowstone Runners” and how to catch them, and one of our local favorites, Brita Fordice, formerly of the Avid Angler, and now working for the Sage Company on Bainbridge Island who will tackle “How, When, and Where to fish for Cutthroat in Puget Sound.”
