WFFC is proud to announce the return of our “in person” Beginning Fly Tying Class. Our first class will be Thursday, March 9th , 7:00pm to 9:00pm and will continue on for the next five Thursdays ending on April 13th, centrally held at the Jewish Community Center, Mercer Island.
The classes use closeup step by step video instruction showing each fly being tied. We will have a staff of instructors to provide over the shoulder assistance to aid your learning experience.
WFFC will provide all fly tying materials, a textbook and an instructional DVD for course instruction.
You will need to bring or purchase the necessary tools; tying thread bobbin, whip finish tool, bodkin, scissors, etc. Prior to the first class you will receive an email and a phone contact to assist you in making the correct purchases.
In addition you will need a fly tying vise. If you don not have one, we will have vises available for you to use until you can decide on which vise is right for you to buy.
Tuition is $80 for the fly tying course and will be limited to 12 attendees. The course will run for six consecutive weeks.
