On Tuesday, November 19th , we are going to be treated to three of the most outstanding speakers we’ve had for this annual event in several years.  As usual this  festive evening will be accented with a piano player and consist of a delicious barbecue dinner before the speakers begin. It will also be the opportunity for members to drop off their fly fishing item donations for the Christmas Fundraiser Live and Silent Auctions and for the Raffle Tables.

After dinner, and at approximately 7 pm, our four speakers will divide the room into three groups and begin simultaneous inter-active discussions on their topics.  At 8 pm, or so we will call a recess, and our members can then rotate to hear another of the speakers for an hour. One or two door prizes will also be conducted during the evening.

Roundtable seminar topics and featured speakers:

Heather Hodson:  Heather is one of the best known female speakers in the Northwest and has an intense interest in entomology which she will share with us.  As we know, both stream and lake entomology can be critical to being successful and Heather has agreed to visit us from her home in Spokane to share her secrets.

Denny Westover:  Finding someone who can explain and demonstrate  the advantages of European nymphing is difficult as this variety of fly fishing is at the pinnacle of our casting expertise.  And finding one of our own club members who can expound on the intricacies of this skill is even more rare.  Come listen to Denny and you’ll be ready to rush out to try this new art form.

Dave Jenkins and Jacob Powell: Come listen, watch, and practice with experts from the Avid Angler who will show you the easiest and most practical  of all those fishing knots that overwhelm your brain with their intricacies.  In addition they will demonstrate how to splice lines and how to use heat guns to form line loops.
