DESCRIPTION:Our annual trip to Hood Canal\, hosted by Jay Deeds. Sea-run cutthroat\, the occasional coho\, hot pizza\, and cold beer. What could be better! The sunsets from Jay’s yard are amazing\, and the fishing can be pretty good too! \nSaturday happy hour/ dinner around 5:00 at Jays. \nThe boat launch is just north at Misery Point\, and camping is available at Scenic Beach State Park\, right next door. SUMMARY:Big Twin Lake Outing
DESCRIPTION:Big Twin Lake is located near Winthrop\, WA\, and it has excellent fly angling for rainbow trout. Nearby Little Twin Lake has rainbows\, tiger trout\, and brook trout. Sinking lines with woolly bugger\, dragonfly\, and damsel patterns work well out in the middle. Floating or intermediate lines with nymphs work well around the edges and in the shallows. \nThe club will provide steaks for those who sign up in advance\, along with beverages. Please bring appetizers\, side dishes\, and desserts to share. As usual\, happy hour (with club beverages) starts around 5:00 PM\, with dinner an hour or so later. \nAt Big Twin Lake Campground\, there are RV sites\, tent sites\, and cabin rentals available as well as showers\, rowboat rentals\, and a boat launch. There is complimentary Wi-Fi. \nThe campground is fine\, and easy to find\, only 15 minutes from Winthrop. You can make reservations at www.bigtwinlakeresort.com/reserve or call 509-996-2650. The address is 210 Twin Lakes Rd.\, Winthrop\, WA 98862.
